Time Management

I’m still trying to figure out this whole work-at-home-full-time-while-parenting nonsense.  So one thing I’m doing is setting daily sewing goals on Sunday for the work week– paid gigs and fun-just-for-me gigs so that I have a good balance.  This past week, my goals were all met except for one quilt I did not get to longarm.  And I would have done it except that I hit a lump while quilting and knocked the timing out of my machine.  I decided to run it to the shop so they could look at it, and as I lifted the big-ass machine (60 lbs) off the carriage, I accidentally ripped the stitch regulator out of it’s weird little plug.  So, welcome to the world of piecing, Nacho Mama.

One of my just-for-fun goals was to work on my Tokyo Subway quilt.  I made it 10 blocks in… which is a lot for one week because it takes me about 3 hours to do one block.  Really.

So 10 down and 15 more to go.

  1. That looks awesome! Yeah for setting goals! I haven’t worked on mine at all, of course. Wish I could learn to live without sleep, I’d get so much more accomplished!

It is looooookin’ gooooood, Danielle! So, I am guessing there will be lots of progress made while your LA is in the shop (boo).
    Have fun!!!

  3. Um, you inspire me. I LOVE how this looks. I really need to get my white and start piecing!
