Happy Halloween, a week late

Dear Reader,

I’ve neglected you.  I have not been around much, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a few things to show you and tell you.  You see, I’ve been on a Denyse Schmidt kick for a week (and longarming my arms off!), but more on that later.  First things first– I embroidered a Halloween panel on one of my Moda wovens.

This will eventually be a pillow with an invisible zipper. (hahahahah, yeah  right!)  It will also have a companion– something similar with a bunch of jack-o-lanterns yet to be created.  I recommend you not hold your breath on that one.  (BTW, the pumpkin with teeth will have button eyes and a wool applique nose… but not this year)

And here’s my lovely son prior to his trick-or-treating extravaganza.  I wish I had his feet in the picture because he was wearing his boots, which helped his outfit a bit more.  I was hoping he’d let me make him a costume, but he refused.  He insisted on this.  Oh, well, we love him anyway.  But he would have looked *so cute* as Elvis.
