field trip!

I left home for a little trip.  Where did I go?  Pioneer Woman country.  Yep, first on my stop was a quilt shop where Ree Drummond used to have her ballet studio.  I kid you not.

The Tangled Thread  in Pawhuska, Oklahoma was my first stop, formerly PW’s ballet studio.

Let me just say– this shop and the other place I went (check back tomorrow for more info) convinced me I need to move to Oklahoma.  Wanda, the owner, was as nice as she could be.  Four car loads of women pulled up without calling ahead, and she still waited on us with a smile on her face.  Let me tell you something about this shop.  I heard you can call her at 8pm, and she’ll meet you at the shop to let you get what you need to get.  How’s that for service?  I’ve never had that at any shop I’ve ever frequented.

While I was there, I was able to share a story about the studio that Wanda didn’t even know.  It’s… well,… just go check it out.

Funny, huh?

I just love PW.  and her recipes.  Like this one.   Oh, and this one.  And there are more, but one particular recipe made my husband love her (well, he loves us both, but in very different ways).  Enjoy.  I believe his exact words were something along the lines of, “I don’t know this Pioneer Woman you speak of, but I think I love her.”
