Have I ever mentioned that I’m a teacher? You can imagine how busy I’ve been the past couple weeks because of it. Not only do I have my own Open House/orientation nights to host, but my little boy went to Kindergarten this year, so I have all his school events, too. Here’s his first day of school picture.
In case you didn’t know, my son is a cowboy. My husband and I have no idea how that happened. My husband is a British chap, and I’m a city girl. But Ethan, well, he’s his own fella. How has Kindergarten been going, you ask? Stressful. On me. I just can’t believe my little one is so old. I just feel time slipping away. Yeah, it hurts. I want to freeze time.
So, my form of escapism is reading. I bought a nook. And then I had to make a sleeve for it.
Soon there will be a matching bag. But right now, the grommets are kicking my butt. As soon as I’m triumphant, I’ll be back with proof.
Wondering what books I’ve been reading? The best teen fiction since Twilight, The Hunger Games trilogy. I cannot put it down. Really.

When you get done with that try Paranormalcy by Kiersten White. It just came out yesterday and is AWESOME!

Ethan is so darn cute!! I love it… and it’s perfect that you have one country Aggie in the family. I absolutely LOVE my nook… I often wonder why it took them so long to invent it!
Cherished every moment. My daughter is a senoir this year and it seems like only yesterday she was of to kindergarten!

I’ve never even heard of a Nook (Nope, i don’t get out much. Thanks for asking.), but i assume it’s like a Kindle. Why’d you choose the Nook over the Kindle? Just curious.

I had a blast last night! I am super excited and dare I say inspired…I am going to go to Hancocks tomorrow for some fusible web and Kona Cotton – although it took me about five minutes to type this because I am on so much cold medicine!
