So some friends of our family, Kim and John, have been trying to have a baby for years, like 8 or 10 years.
They’ve undergone numerous medical procedures, fertility treatments, and a failed adoption placement. It’s been tough. Well, they are proud to announce that they have adopted a son. Yea!
When James went for a doctor’s appointment, when he was 10 or 11 days old, his mommy also had an appointment. She found out she was 3 months pregnant. Amazing! So, James is going to have a little brother in about 5 months. Can you imagine?
This baby quilt was made with the very coveted Hushabye by Tula Pink line– but I eliminated fabrics that were predominantly pink. I did not use a pattern. I just started stacking coins. I hope Baby James and his family will enjoy it. To read more about them, visit Kim’s Blog, Faith, Grace & Giggles.

How exciting for your friends to be blessed with two precious little ones to love!
I had the best time hanging out with you! I love how you mother, how you were supportive of me giving a time out (most people argue and say it isn’t a big deal – I loved that you supported the discipline), you quilts and creativity are totally inspiring and you are just cool!
